Dr Brenters is an Australian trained specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology.
He trained at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Subsequently he moved to the UK where he worked in General Practice and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
In 2000 he moved to Australia, where he initially worked in remote locations in WA, as a General Practitioner and District Medical Officer, with special responsibilities for Obstetrics. In 2004 he started his specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at King Edward Hospital. After successfully completing his training he moved into private practice and consults at SJOG Wexford Medical Centre at Murdoch and operates and delivers at St John of God Murdoch and occasionally at King Edward Memorial Hospital.
In addition to obstetrics, his is also a very highly skilled and experienced Gynaecologist, specialising in vaginal, abdominal and laparoscopic surgery. He can provide routine gynaecological check-ups, manage abnormal Pap smears, colposcopy, menstrual problems, benign pelvic tumours (fibroids), vaginal prolapse, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, endometrial ablation, permanent sterilisation and miscarriage management and can refer cases of suspected or proven gynaecological malignancy to his sub-specialist colleagues.
